The beauty of our Island Paradise lies in it's natural surroundings...undisturbed
by amusement parks and high-rise condos. St. George Island State Park, one of the jewels of the Florida Park System,
comprises several miles of the Island's East End. The State of Florida also owns a Nature Preserve that is located
right out our back door. Wildlife are in abundance on St. George. In addition to being a destination for Northern
birds in the Winter, we have an abundance of native feathered friends. Our natural surroundings are also home to deer,
squirrel, racoons, o'opossum, and rabbits.

Rent a bike, four-wheel surrey, or motor scooter for the day and cruise our Island's bike path, or St. George Island Park.

|
Our Bike Path, runs alongside Gulf Beach Drive on it's own paved roadway. |

Boating and fishing are among our visitors' favorite activities. Sailboats, Kayaks, and jet skis rentals are available in
the Busniness District in the middle of The Island.
Deep Sea fishing is available thru a number of experienced Charter Boat Companies located only six miles away, in Apalachicola,
Florida.
Golf courses are as close as Apalachicola. There are several courses within 30 miles of St. George Island that offer
great golfing in a fabulous natural setting.
|

And, of course, there's our "swimming pool," the
Gulf of Mexico. The Beach is only a very short walk away!
In addtion to several sub and sandwich shops, St. George Island has several excellent restaurants that offer sea food so fresh
it slept in the Gulf last night. Antique and specialty stores line the downtown streets of Apalachicola.
